If you didn't circle 10, notice that. If you did, are you sure that there is
not a deeper level you can go to? How about in your everyday interactions with
your partner, does 10 always apply there? For most human beings there are
always deeper levels, new lessons, and new joy to experience.
Sometime soon sit down with your partner and look over what you wrote down
during this session. How did your perceptions of what each of you said differ?
What did you think the important things were? Were they the same for your
partner?
If you found this to be a valuable experience you might want to have a
heart to heart talk each week with your partner. Use the same format: set
aside at least 30 minutes of uninterrupted time. Take half the time each to
share whatever is on your mind. While your partner is speaking maintain a
neutral, supportive, and silent loving attention. Remember to take
responsibility for whatever you are feeling and to avoid blaming, judging, or
criticizing your partner. This simple technique can work wonders for your
relationship.

Remember: use everything you have learned during this experience for your
benefit. The only mistake you can make is to judge or punish yourself or your
partner for what you have or haven't done or said. Instead, cultivate an
attitude of gratitude for all of the love, joy, and growth you have brought and
will continue to bring to each other and share that gratitude each day.
